Mannerisms in Hiring
Interviewers who place heavy emphasis on particular mannerisms in the hiring process
The problem is that many HR resort to automated processes, sometimes including even automated replies. Many people do not want to respond to something that may not even be a real person.
While I am not an employee, I’d also imagine high-demand job market candidates will think:
If you are really going to not hire me because I didn’t send you one email, then we should not even be working together.
Business is business; the bottom line is whether this person brings additional value. Shareholders are more so worried about that than micro-formalities.
